Week 4: Last week :(

I am going to miss this program SO much. This program has taught me many things from being independent, to stepping out of your comfort zone and making friends that you probably wouldn't hang out with on a regular basis.

The high ropes course was a eye opening experience for me. I learned how to communicate and also listen better. This was where i made most of my friends at because they were the once that helped me through it and i help them also when they felt like they couldn't do it

Living on campus were the best moments that i could remember. We had the best food and the best RA's also. Living on campus showed me a little bit of how college is really going to be like. I had to manage my time very well, i had to find out when i should study, hangout, and even eat. Sometimes it was stressful but overall it was a great experience!

I am so glad that i picked my English class because that was the best class that i have ever taken in my life. It was an eye opening class and it taught me that my opinion, sometimes, is not the best opinion. Even thought it was just an English class it taught me many things!

I suggest this program to future seniors because this class taught me so many things and i have gained a knowledge of different races and different perspectives. I have also learned how to manage my time better.

Week 3

So, I want to go to Columbia College of Chicago. Being that it is a private school and I am from out of state trying to go, there are many things that I have to do and don't have to do to get in. There are also many positives and negatives going into the school.

First, i have to go to Chicago and tour the campus to see if I like it (which I already did, and I do!). Second, I have to get my application through the mail or I just have to fill out my application online (which i plan to do). Finally, I have to write and essay to get in the school (since i don't have to do the ACT). I don't have to take my ACT or SAT, but they do require me to take a test called the Compass test.

There are many positives going to this school like its a private school and the education is very important. I don't have to take my ACT or SAT because, being that it's and liberal arts school, they said those tests cannot show how good I am at art. There are also many negatives, like since I am from out of state i have to pay extra and I wont be with my family.
